A very special evening with
Master Distiller Enrique De Colsa
TUESDAY, November 12 6:30 pm
Prepare to meet a Master Distiller you will love!
The charming Enrique De Colsa, who attained fame as the master distiller for Don Julio Tequila has created a Blanco that represents all his passion, skill, and knowledge.
Lost Explorer Blanco is now enjoying its debut in the United States.
We are delighted to bring you an evening with Sr. Colsa, whom some of you are already privileged to know. Those who haven’t yet met him will leave the evening as a lifelong friend and admirer.
He graduated from college in CDMX, became an industrial engineer where he sold equipment to spirits and perfume companies. In 1988, he met Don Julio Gonzales, and was introduced to the complex and beautiful creation of fine tequila. The combination of science and art was something he found fascinating.
He loves to travel, enjoys street tacos (like most of us!) and loves the seafood from his hometown of Veracruz at La Isla del Amor. He is passionate about creative cocktails, golf, and American football and loves to ‘talk tequila’.
- We’ll begin our evening with a welcoming cocktail created just for the event.
- Then we will taste the Lost Explorer Blanco. Chef Eduardo’s inspirational small plates will be served throughout the event.
- We’ll embark on a delightful journey of tasting the Blanco by itself (fresh, smooth, & agave forward with herbaceous, citrus and cinnamon notes).
- Then we will follow with two additional tastings with food, so you can experience the remarkable ability of this tequila to enhance the flavors of Chef Eduardo’s excellent small plates. Each time, you will discover something new and exciting about Lost Explorer.
Finally, we will enjoy another creative cocktail so you may visit with Sr. De Colso and enjoy your shared love of fine tequila.
We expect this event to sell out quickly. Reserve your seats now and enjoy a memorable evening with someone you’ll never forget. CLICK HERE to purchase your tickets.

An evening featuring
“Ancient Origins; Modern Delights:
The History of Corn and Mezcal in México”
Friday, November 15th, 6pm
La Familia Tortilla Shop, Tres Tiempos and Tequila Museo Mayahuel have collaborated to bring you an amazing evening of gastronomic delight.
Come with us on an adventure into the magic of heirloom tortilla making – the way it has been done for centuries (with more modern equipment!). La Familia Tortilla Shop uses rare, ancient varieties of corn – the same varieties used in precolonial México. They support ethical, fair trade from valued local farmers and use sustainable methods so these exquisite corn varieties remain available for future generations to enjoy.
In addition to their handcrafted tortillas, they offer salsas that are fresh and delicious whether you use them simply to dip your tortilla in or on your favorite tacos. Some of these will be available for you to purchase!
To pair perfectly with our innovative menu, we’ll be serving tastings of Tres Tiempos Mezcal. Tres Tiempos begins with organic growing practices, just as they were grown five generations before.
Their slow and methodical process shows respect for the history of the maguey; the legends that honor the ancient culture, for mezcal is the drink of friendship, of welcoming others, of dreams.
Tres Tiempos pays tribute to the three stages of life – being born, growing and thriving and dying – experienced in the cultivation, distillation and packaging of the mezcal to send it on its way where it will be consumed. Every aspect of life is dependent on the land and nature. The soil that provides the minerals; the monsoonal rains that bring thirst-quenching water.
Life in San Luis Amatlán centers around Mezcal – in the hot dry climate those who live in the small village are dedicated to a culture that takes pride in perfection. This is essential to producing Tres Tiempos, and they ensure that every employee is paid far above México’s minimum wage – a wage that enables them to live with dignity and provide for their families.
We’ll serve:
• Tepeztate
• Bicuixe
• Ensamble (Madrecuixe-Espadín-Bicuixe)
• Ernesto Ensamble (Coyote-Verde-Espadín-Bicuixe)
Our menu was thoughtfully to represent Mexican gastronomy at it’s finest. Honoring tradition, with a nod to history and an ancient culture – all with present-day inspiration.
We expect this event to sell out quickly. Reserve your seats now (CLICK HERE) and experience an adventure in Mexican culture like no other.
